Archifold Introduction

Beautifully tailored Archifold draperies offer a classic look from both inside and out. Sew-on pleaters create and accordian effect, and panels butt against each other, leaving no flat overlap area these smartly tailored draperies are ideal for commercial or residential use.

Archifold draperies start with the fabrication of a flat panel to which 4" 1144 buckram is sewn for stiffening. To provide fullness, 3 1/2" or 4" pleaters attach to spaced carriers. (Standard fullness for Archifold draperies is 100%)

Archifold draperies are hung from the same hardware used with Ripplefold systems. draperies are easy to take down and re-hand, they fall easily into folds.

Archifold is easy to install, becuase no drapery pins are used, and stackback space is less than that of conventionally pleated draperies.

Only cord traverse systems are available with Archifold, and only butt masters may be used. Because Archifold can not be fabricated using the snap tape system, there is no System I or II available.

Archifold Systems III and IV

The basic fabrication of the draperies for Systems III and IV is identical, with the exception of the pleater which is sewn on during the fabrication process. Both systems use the Kirsch Fabrication Guide.

System III

This system combines minimum stackback space with the ease of spaced snap carriers.
System IV
